The transition program aims to help students become as independent as possible, secure competitive, integrative employment, and live their most meaningful lives. The VTC supports the consortium by liaising between the district Vocational Transition Specialist (VTS) and the MCSE Administration. The VTS provides transition training and support for students, parents, MCSE staff, district staff, and administration. In addition, the VTC will coordinate services with multiple community agencies for students with transition needs, oversee the Youth Employability Services (Y.E.S.) program, and manage the school-based assembly component of the Y.E.S. program. The VTC works with businesses from each community and attends as a representative in area County Communities on Transition (CCoTs) to develop innovative materials to expand transition service materials for schools' transition services.
